- Op 22 Jan 96 had "j. Patterson" blijkbaar niets te doen, dus schreef ie maar

-
- Yups.. I've wrecked the dam'n thing open once, just to do the same thing (I am
- an computer repair engineer), but the primary hor.size will not give much
- relieve, it could only give me an extra width of about 1-1.5 cm (about 0,5-0,7
- Inch) in total.
-
- jP> Has anyone cracked one of these things open to see if there's a way to
- jP> adjust the horizontal width inside the case? Or, does anyone know of a
- jP> software patch to fix this? I've tried MonEd, but: 1). nobody can tell
- jP> me what the different sliders do (including the instructions), and; 2).

-
- If you think it's worth trying it, you can open it, remove the metal shielding,
- and adjust the hor. size coil. Its is located somewhat underneath the end of
- the CRT, it looks like a long plastic 'stick', with a adjustable kernal. USE A
- PLASTIC HEX DRIVER, because a metal one would alter it's impedance, so you
- cannot see what the heck you are doing on the screen.
-
- The dissapering pointer is another problem: I believe there is something on
- Amynet to solve this problem, though i would't know the name. A friend of mine
- told me to edit his pointer (Shift it to the right) with 'POINTER' in
- WORKBENCH:PREFS. Do not forget to shift the 'Hot Spot' also. :)
-
- jP> Would there even be such a piece of equipment that I could plug
- jP> in-between my Amiga and my monitor which would somehow alter the width?
- jP> I'm getting desperate....thanks!
-
- No ... that's is impossible to solve it that way with easy matters.
-
- Cya!
